Here's a photo-shoot that Keira Knightly did for Comic Relief, 2009. She looks so cute! I'm pretty sure the t-shirts are only sold in TJ Max in the UK, but I really want one. Also, I don't understand why we don't do something like Comic Relief over here in the states. Yet another reason to love the UK.

So we are always blogging about new upcoming big designers, and designers that have been around, but we need to start giving credit to our local upcoming designers/brands that are local. Looks like Anna Sui has the best idea for Fashion week. Sui has come up with the Save the Garment Center t shirt, to raise awareness for the disappearing garment center.
An awareness letter was cent out last week, and it included signatures from big name designers such as Nicole Miller and Vera Wang. Let's hope this makes people more aware of the matter, and that this idea takes off.

In order to raise awareness to the disappearing Garment Center, Anna Sui teamed up with several designers to create the “Save The Garment Center” T-Shirt to “galvanize members of the Council of Fashion Designers of America to find a way to preserve the Garment Center”. The back of the tee has e-mail addresses of important New York City officials. Since many landlords are redeveloping their buildings into luxury lofts and hotels where they can jack up the rent, many factories are forced to leave since rent can no longer be affordable.
