Seduction explores sexuality in fashion throughout the ages, with pieces from designers such as Balenciaga, Jane Regny, and Vivienne Westwood. The gowns and corsets featured were gorgeous.
I also got a chance to see the gold spike heels by Christian Louboutin for Rodarte in person - and they're just as gorgeous as I imagined them to be.
The Gothic: Dark Glamour collection features more than 75 death-like ensembles. The exhibition includes looks from designers such as Rick Owens, Alexander McQueen, Anna Sui, and Gareth Pugh. Definitely a must see if you're into all things destructive and dark.
Best of all, both shows are free - so if you are in the New York City area I'd suggest seeing both of these collections before they're gone.

I'm currently loving Sophomore, a contemporary sportswear line out of New York City, by Chrissie Miller and Madeleine von Froomer. They've got a wide variety of basics and wardrobe staples in great colors for both women and men. I'm loving the "New York Crimes" & "STAY GOLD" t-shirts below.

So we are always blogging about new upcoming big designers, and designers that have been around, but we need to start giving credit to our local upcoming designers/brands that are local. So this one clothing line you should keep your eyes out for is YNG PRO. they just dropped their first batch of t-shirts, that come in 5 different color ways. They are $25.00, easy to order, and if you want easy pickup in Brooklyn. Also, if you like what you see, keep up to date with our YNG PRO guys on their blog, which is in our links on the right side.
These guys will be doing big things, so keep your eyes out! And support your local friends/designers/brands, it helps out. NOW GO SHOPHERE!
