SHAMPOO?

9:59 AM Posted In , , Edit This

So out of all the stores in Philadelphia Lush is one store that I always walked by but either never had time for, or didn't feel like going in. It smells amazing, and the store setup itself is awesome, but it wasn't until recently that I got to experience with the store. My boyfriend and I went into Lush a few weeks ago, where mostly he stocked up on a bunch of goodies. I loved the products so much that I went in last week, where I found one of my new favorite products. The solid shampoo bar. It last almost 5 times longer than your regular shampoo, it's organic, and it smells amazing. Although the concept may be weird to you at first, using shampoo from a bar, but it's definitely worth it. They can cut whatever amount you want, and they will charge you by weight. So if you don't want to go all out the first time buying products, just get small pieces cut for yourself.
Also, another one of our favorite things were the bath Jellies. It literally feels like jelly in your hand, but is a little bit harder. It may sound gross, but you can keep it in the freezer, and cut off a piece for yourself every-time you shower, definitely one of my favorite products by them. I wish I could try out every single thing lush sells, soon enough :)

BLACK LIP GLOSS?

8:33 PM Posted In , Edit This

YSL has one of the hottest lip gloss colors right now, but black? It was a huge hit on the runway, and they released this limited edition lip gloss available to the public, but will it be as big of a hit as it was on the runway?

If you shop in Target frequently, you will be happy to know that they dropped a few new makeup lines.
Target has partnered with makeup artists Jemma Kidd, Napoleon Perdis and Petra Strand for affordable versions of their existing upscale makeup lines and today marks the debut of these new beauty lines.

The JK Jemma Kidd line is inspired by the catwalk and is heavily pigmented to produce bold statement colors. In an interview with Plum Sykes in Vogue’s September 2008 issue, the former catwalk model says that the line is “for makeup junkies. It’s for girls who want to experiment with color. I am bringing high fashion colors into makeup but making it very wearable.” Prices start at $14 for I-conic Eye Pencil Liner with a built-in sharpener and go to $36 for a Smoky Eye Palette.

Pixi by Petra Strand focuses on “skin-loving” ingredients that “creates a flawless, photo-perfect finish that leaves women looking like themselves, only better,” according to Target. The line retails for $12-$39.

NP Set is packaged in slick white containers and each category (face, lip, eye) has its own color code. The 85-piece line comes in classic colors and retails for $12-$30.

Although I must admit the prices are high for Target, but to get products at this price, isn't too bad! everyone should go and at least check it out!

Since I don't already spend hundreds of dollars at CVS..

According to WWD.com, CVS will be opening their own beauty supply store!

CVS Pharmacy is talking about a revolution.

The growth-minded drugstore chain has drafted plans to open upscale beauty emporiums — about the size of a Sephora store — filled with previously untouchable department store brands.

To drive home the drugstore chain’s seriousness about tackling prestige beauty, the concept will be called Beauty 360, with no mention of CVS in sight.

The first concept store is slated to open by year’s end in a major East Coast city, Mike Bloom, CVS’ senior vice president of merchandising, told WWD exclusively. Another will open weeks later on the West Coast, he added.

WHITE TEETH!

If you have trouble with whitening your teeth, and use messy strips, pastes, plates, or even get them done, you should try Celebrity Sexy Teeth.  I'm not an advocate for these types of products, but I tried this one and it's really good. It looks like a little thing of lipgloss you can just shove in your bag wherever you want. You don't need to rinse your teeth afterwards, you can't taste it, and it only takes a few seconds. You actually can't even feel it when it is on there, so it's not hard to talk or anything else.  i love it, we will see how long it takes me to find something better..
